Fame at Last!

The latest version of my wildflower cuff

Hi Crafters!

It’s been a while! Over the lockdown I went through a little bit of rebranding. The jewellery side of George Crafts has really taken off and I’ve been really busy with custom orders and planning social media posts for the retail side of George Crafts. That meant the creativity, crafting and fun side has taken a bit of a back seat.

I am slowly getting the hang of running an actual business and I am trying to streamline the social media accounts. The plan is to get all my ducks in a row for the retail side of George Crafts so I can spend some time making content for my YouTube channel and blog again! At the moment my ducks are not in rows, in fact they rather resemble a scattered flock of pigeons at present, but I promise I am working on it!

There are a couple of things I wanted to share with you while I am wrangling birds, mostly because I am insanely proud of them!

I can’t actually believe they are using my photo!

First of all, one of the companies I absolutely love approached me because they wanted to use some of my photos on their website! How amazing is that! So if you head to the Resin8 website and look at some of their jewellery moulds, you may recognise a rather beautiful resin cuff filled with wildflowers on their website! It might not seem like a big deal to a lot of people, but a company that I love wants to use my photo to sell their products. I must be doing something right!

Anyone fancy a liquorice allsort?

The second thing I wanted to share with you is an interview I did on local radio! I know, fame at last! A lovely gentleman called Oliver emailed me last week asking if I would like to talk about my business on BBC Radio Northampton, absolutely I would!

I had the live interview yesterday and Mr Crafts kindly recorded it for me. It’s a good job he did really, I’ve never done anything like this before and the whole thing was a bit of a blur! Anyway, here for your listening pleasure is my radio interview!

George Crafts on the BBC!

I absolutely haven’t given up on the blog, I promise. I’ll have some new content for you soon, but if you are missing my ramblings I’d be very happy to see you all on the George Crafts Jewellery Facebook page. I post there most days and I would love to hear from all of you!
