The Pop Up Shop!

My pop up shop at Scotch Lodge Farm

Hello Lovely People!

How have you all been? I have just about recovered from my pop up shop, which was last Saturday at Scotch Lodge Farm. If you came down to say hello, ordered from me, bought my items – a huge thank you! I had an absolutely fantastic day and I can’t wait to do all again very soon!

There are pop up shops happening at the farm all the time, so if you are local to Northamptonshire please check out their Facebook page and come along and support local businesses and artists like me!

This was my first event since January and in that time I have made a few changes. I spent almost the whole week getting ready for the event. When I had been going to lots of events in December last year I knew exactly where all my stuff was and

One of my favourite resin makes, this went off to it’s new home on Saturday!

what I needed to take with me. A combination of not being out for so long, the re-brand and launching some new items made the prep slightly harder than I would have liked, but now I’ve done it once it will be much easier next time! I’ve even made myself a spreadsheet of all the things I need to take with me, Mr Crafts would be so proud 😂

If you’re like me and need lists to help you get ready then I’ve got some good news for you! When you are ready to get back out to events selling your beautiful handmade items, you can download my list for free and print it off as many times as you would like! I’m hoping it will help me! You will find the download link at the bottom of the post!

My newer items, the resin jewellery and trinket trays, are some of my best sellers. They really are one of a kind items. That being said they take longer to create than some of my other pieces. I didn’t want to sell out of the items and miss out on people being able to see what I can make to order, so I decided to create a catalogue. It took me absolutely ages, but I think it was worth it! If you want to see the catalogue, click here.

This lapis and copper ring is one of my current favourites!

I had quite a few orders for resin pieces off the back of the pop up shop so I have nearly used up all my supply! I have ordered so more, which should be with me by tomorrow. You can expect to see lots of resin based projects on my social media next week! I wanted to order a litre of resin, however that size was out of stock. I ordered three litres instead. At least I won’t run out! Plus it works out cheaper if I order it this way, thank goodness! I also have a few new moulds arriving this week! I cannot wait to get using them!

As well as the resin and catalogue I’ve been developing a range of wire work jewellery. This is something I have wanted to be able to do for ages, and I am now at the point where I can confidently make some fairly decent rings and simple pendants! Hooray! What I really, really want to be able to do is to wrap gemstone cabochons. Hopefully with a little practise I will be able to!

More than half way finished on this!

Most of the resin orders are cured now and just need a sand and polish before they go off to their new homes! It’s a good job they are nearly ready as I am also working on a crochet shawl that was commissioned, it’s very nearly finished and it’s working up quickly. When I have finished that I will be working on another crochet commission. I ordered the yarn this morning and I’m already impatient for it to arrive. I bet my postman hates me!
