I hope you are looking forward to another art journaling prompt. This week we are going to try and use our art journals to help us practise mindfulness.
It’s very easy and you don’t even have to leave your own home, although you can if you want to!
Mindfulness is all about being present in the moment, concentrating solely on what we are doing and what is happening around us. It is enjoying the sounds and smells around us without thinking about what to make for dinner, when to catch the bus or a hundred other things that consume our day to day lives.
If you want to have a go at mindful journaling, all you need to do is grab your journal and a few pencils or pens and find a spot to sit in. Make sure you’re comfortable, switch your phones to silent and start to look and listen to what is happening around you. Then record what you see, hear, smell, taste etc. in your journals however you want to.
